Self Adhesive Definitive Sized Smilers - First Issue (Oct 2005)

Six different designs, available from October 2005 and subsequently with modified features in a  variety of different printings. The table may be helpful in identifying the various varieties. The copyright statement originally was listed as Royal Mail Group plc 2005. This was subsequently changed to Royal Mail Group Ltd 2005. The other varieties relate to modifications in the die-cut perforations. Originally without security features, subsequently with two elliptical perforations added, one per vertical side and finally the perforating cutting dies were modified/replaced to give the perforations a cleaner, squarer appearance.  

Note of Smilers Catalogue References (August 2014)

I have modified the Smilers Catalogue references for these sheets effective 1 Aug 2014.  I have introduced a second alpha code to indicate the printing sequence for ease of reference.

The initial catalogue codes were CS-26a to CS-26f and these have been revised to CS-26aa to CS-26fa with subsequent printings identified with a modified second alpha code e.g. CS-26ab is the second printing of CS-26aa.
