DS "Scottish Saltire Flag"

Produced by Jeff Harris at Isle of Pabay it features the yacht Ocean Spirit, which is owned by Gordonston School, under full sail. The yacht is berthed at Plockton a coastal village on the mainland about 5 miles from Pabay and can often be seen heading out to sea on various training voyages with pupils from the school. Jeff's granddaughter is second mate on the Ocean Spirit for the sailing season this year. Also produced this year is a souvenir cover bearing this Smilers Sheet stamp.

DS "Scottish Saltire Flag" - ERROR SHEET

As TS-525 but printed on the wrong sheet in error by Royal Mail - this sheet in theory does not exist and should not be  available via the personalised stamp service of Royal Mail. Some years ago Royal Mail had the Smilers from Scotland sheet reprinted with the wrong background image.  These were supposed to have all been destroyed but some seem to have surfaced at a Royal Mail Smilers sheet production facility.
