According to the BPPO website:
"This customised sheet is only being released in India. But we
have obtained a few for our collectors. It could be an iconic issue.
The subject is Rabindranath Tagore, a national hero known to the West
as the voice of India's spiritual heritage. In 1913 he was the first
non-european to be awarded the Nobel Prize for literature. Knighted in
1915 he later rejected this in protest aginst the Raj. A great friend of
Gandhi, he gave him the name "Mahatma" from the Sanskrit word
for 'Saint'.
The sheet was previewed at the Kolkata Book Fair and will be released
in April. A few of the 1000 issue will be reserved and specially marked
for our UK collectors."
